Olamide Biography 

Olamide Adedeji (born March 15, 1989) is a Nigerian hip hop music artist known professionally as Olamide (but also known as Olamide Baddo or BaddoSneh). He typically records in Yoruba, which is his first language. He signed to Coded Tunes in 2011 and released his first studio album, Rapsodi. YBNL Nation, his label imprint, published his follow-up album. “First of All,” “Voice of the Street,” “Stupid Love,” and “Ilefo Illuminati” were among the singles released to promote the album. His third studio album, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, was released on November 7th, 2013. “Durosoke” and “Yemi My Lover” are two singles from the album. Olamide signed an endorsement contract with Cîroc on July 17, 2013, making him the first Nigerian to do so. 

BEGINNINGS 

On the 15th of March, 1989, Olamide was born in Bariga, Lagos State. In the year 2000, he made the decision to pursue music as a vocation. “I discovered I was gifted in it, therefore I had to investigate it,” he explained when asked why music. It’s my life, my work, and my universe.” Olamide, who was contracted to the Coded Tunes record company at the time, released a song called “Eni Duro” in 2010 that revealed his potential to the world. Olamide was thrust into the limelight as the song earned widespread critical acclaim. Olamide was nominated for a Hip Hop World Award in 2010 and performed at the event. He studied MASS COMMUNICATION at Tai Solarin University of Education before dropping out to focus entirely on his music career. His first studio album, Rapsodi, was released in 2011.

Career 

Olamide’s first single, Eni Duro, was released in 2010 and marked the beginning of his music career. Critics lauded the song, and he became renowned almost immediately. He also performed at the Hip-Hop World Awards that same year. His debut studio album, Rapsodi, was released in 2011. This album’s songs were widely broadcast on the best radio stations in the country.
